    Hi,

What is the story with going into Trailfinders and looking at getting some info on planning a RTW Trip/Flights ?

Can I just walk in off the street or do I need to book?

Also do they charge you for their advice/help?

    Cheers

You can walk straight in and you'll be speaking to someone within a few minutes. I was in twice- first time for some advice, and after doing some research myself, second time to book my flights. I think you can also ring them up and get the same advice over the phone.

I have to say they were great to me. The prices quoted are inclusive of any fees, so there's nothing to pay on top. I think they presumably have arrangements with all of the airlines they book through- commission or whatever. They also e-mail details to you when you confirm a booking, and can arrange other services as well (not sure if they charge extra on top of what they actually cost). Visas for where you're travelling, insurance, that sort of thing. But the best thing about the service was they took all the hassle. I booked flights to KL for January, and when you tell them what you're looking for, your agent will spend maybe 10/15 minutes getting details together for you.

Can't speak highly enough about them.

+1 Good operation. Helped me several times.

I thought they charge a standard fee of €30?

Just to throw my experience in here.

Booked stuff with Trailfinders and found them to be grand up until I bought the tickets etc then found them not to be extremely helpful. They wouldn't help us to make changes to our flights after we had bought them. We also contacted them to ask for information about a particular exit fee and they sent us a short reply which eventually turned out to be incorrect. I personally wouldn't book with them again.

Haven't had much experience with others so maybe they are the best of a bad lot.

I have dealth with them in the past and they are excellent, when you book with them they charge a fee of 30/40 euro, but when you are paying big money for an amazing holiday you dont even notice it and they are so good that its well worth it...just walk in off the street and join a queue
