love the place when its covered in frost
went for a deer this morning had no luck due to the frosty ground tried to stalk a few but they heard me a mile away but thats the look of the draw
sometimes the weather works in our favour

one thing that did annoy me was stumbling across a full deer skeleton minus the antlers they were cut off using a hacksaw and judging by the skull the deer wasnt that big so it was young
i wouldn mind but the remains were only a hundred yards from the road what a waste why people do this il never understand

That's more of it. I would love to catch the idiot that did that.

I was talking to a lad today that said he heard of a lad up in Wicklow that was cought lamping with 10 deer in the back of his van.
Apparently the gardi were watching them and even had a helicopter tracking them when they tried to escape.
Well done to the Garda on this occasion

ten of them thats a nice few quid off the game dealer
they should really clamp down on it
make lads pay tax or something
ya wouldn mind as much if he shot them legitimately
but with a lamp is like shooting ducks in a barrel

Well I was up at 5 this morning to go stalking, fog was so thick you could barely see 50 yds in front of you !! Hasnt lifted all day, got thicker if anything !!

Drove down to my ground in the slieveblooms on the off chance it might be clearer down there, no chance
