Decent vinyl turntable for little money?

I've been threatening to rescue all my old vinyl from the mother's house for years, but this Christmas I'm determined to actually do it.

Does anyone know where I can get a decent turntable for not too much money? I know in the last few years they've been known to turn up in Dunnes, Tesco and the like, but I think I could stretch beyond 50 quid if I thought it was worth it.

Aldi were doing USB ones for €50 a few weeks ago...

It's the consumer variant of the dj's workhorse, the technics 1200 - your man says it's rusty because it was left in a damp shed; a full service at one of the many many establishments that service them won't set you back more than 50-75 quid, and believe me when i say these things are built like tanks and sound great, especially if you decide to periodically swap in custom-made after market replacement parts.
