Have recently seen a searchlight being shone above Newbidge Co.Kildare.
Anyone know from where exactly?

No its still in Naas but the light is fairly bright and it is dark outside.

The light is comming from the UCI cinema roof top in Newbridge to coincide with the release of the film Skyline.
Time Nightclub as above is in Naas and not Newbridge

Do they actually let any aul gobdaw shine a powerful light into the sky for no good reason. I mean does it not come under some kind of regulations on air traffic control or light polluton or conserving energy ?
