My wrists are tiny. I know there isn't much you go can do to make them bigger and big forearms just make them look smaller but is there anything you recommend to make them stronger?

Why do you wrap t shirts around the bar?
Do you find a more open grip helps?

I find I have to tightly clench dumbbells or else I will get sore wrists.

I think he means that you hang very heavy dumbells from the tshirts, a kind of improvised farmers walk exercise.

Nope. They're a small little unprotected joint and if you hurt them you hurt them.

They wouldn't hold you back as far as lifting goes, I've chronic pain coupled with infant-like wrists and they give me no problems as a powerlifter. Maybe if you were fighting or something it would be an issue I don't know. The MMA forum would probably know more in that case.
