I have bought an amino 110 set top box on ebay so I could have Magnet TV in my spare room without paying an extra monthly fee. I maybe nieve but I just assumed I could plug it in and it would work but this didnt happen. Is there settings I need to have in the box first?

I pay them enough already, and I believe the extra fee per month is for rental of the amino set top box so by buying my own, i dont think that is stealing!!!!

thanks for your reply though it really helped!!!!

Whilst you may well believe that you are paying Magnet more than enough, it still does not negate the fact that you want to get something extra off them for no fee.

This is from the Forum Rules:
    DON'T Discuss hacking systems.
For the avoidance of doubt: DON'T Discuss any methods that allow access to a pay-television service, other than taking out a legitimate, paid, subscription to the provider of that service.

mjsmyth, Didnt you read my previous post!? The extra charge from Magnet is for the rental of the amino set top box. I purchased this box outright! So what am I doing wrong. Havant you anything better to do with your time than post me the forum rules.

Im sure if you contact Magnet support their technician will talk you thru the process of setting up the box.

I did indeed read all your posts. The reason I posted the the forums rules was to stop you getting a ban for asking/looking for information on how to do something illegal.

Whether you own another set top box or not, you are only paying for one connection. You need to pay for another connection for your other room.

You are obviously aware that you are doing something wrong as otherwise you would have rang Magnet and asked them why it does not work.

If you don't like the rules of this forum, then there are plenty of others where out there.
