Toyota door lock broken, cant open door

    Toyota Corolla passenger door lock broken and door wont open... going to try and remove the panel to fix it but need to open car door... (its a '98).... any ideas, cheers

    Hi. Even though the door is still closed.
    Remove screw on door opener.
    Remove window winder. Use flat head to prise it off.
    Remove arm rest. Two screws underneath.
    Prise off panel as far as possible.
    Peel away sticky plastic seal.
    Now you should have access to rod to open door.

    Open the two screws that hold the door lock on. Disconnect rod. Push it and it should swing out on a spring. Turn whole thing anticlockwise and you're sorted.
