    Guys,

Looking at a 08 BMW 320d M Sport Auto with extras such as full leather sport seats and BMW bluetooth. Car is a one owner car with 48k miles and full verified service history. The car is costing me just over €18k but as it is an auto it is pushed into the 20% VRT bracket meaning the VRT on it is just under €6k (excluding what they will charge for the extras).

Revenue value the car here at over €28k but I'm probably looking at €25k to land it here so my question is really to those in the trade is what in the real world is a car like this worth here, not that many here of the same spec to compare? Really want to see if it is worth the trip across the Irish Sea.

Also is there anything issues I need to know about this model before taking the plung?

have you got a link to it?
other than service history, which you say is verified.
general checks for any crash damage, finance etc

24k per year is quite high, but it may balance out during your ownership.
2008 means lower motor tax as you well know but also gets you the newer 177bhp engine which is fantastic and even better after a remap!!!

auto box is personal choice, i love them.

    whats the exact spec?
leather is an opton, the sports seats on the MSport are standard.
Bluetooth is a nice option to have ticked.

    I was thinking around 28 - 31k.
    Very nice car though

Sounds like it could be a Business Edition model with Leather and Bluetooth - very nice car in SE or M-Sport spec.

I would have thought 25k would be towards the upper end of what I'd expect to pay for that, but you won't see many Auto's over here.

Anything similar for sale in Ireland? SE Business Edition may be better for our roads - even that can be a touch skittish around pot holes.

    This is the car:

Doesn't mention bluetooth on the advert so I may have mixed it up with a different car I was browsing. The 17" alloy wheels are a bonus for me other the 18" ones that most M Sports seem to come with. 18" alloy wheels and tyres would not last long on some of the roads I drive on.
