i would say there is quiet a number of guys that have a TR on the bus plus a couple of thousand hours that will snap these jobs up,Whats the chance of a lad with an f-ATPL and MCC just out of flight training geting to sit on the LHS.

    Hi there,
Aer Lingus has always taken a proportion of freshly qualified guys so you'd be a fool not to apply.A significant amount of the many hundreds that have already applied will be rejected until they get down to a core of about 200, from which the lucky ones will be picked.Remember, when they have to cut from a pile of thousands of CVs, they'll be brutal and reject applications for even simple spelling mistakes. They especially want to see currency and a very, very strong desire to be in the job.
All it'll cost you is a postage stamp and an envelope and an hour tidying your CV up.
    regards

Will they pay for the typerating I wonder?!

I imagine most places will be for Belfast and Gatwick like the last intake?!

Typerating - I doubt it, though you never know.

Where the posts will be ? - Could be any of their bases.

If the positions were in Belfast or Gatwick would that put people off applying ?

From what i have heard, EI Will send the recruits on Type Rating Course...I believe you will be bonded for an amount for a period of 3 years of else you can take a reduction in salary instead of the Bond.

There will be 35 Pilots Recruited.

I have also heard that guys already who are current EI Pilots and based in LGW/BFS and have requested DUB have been granted this ....therefore the likelyhood of any of the new 35 F/O's going to DUB is slim enough...

do you think there is 35 guys with type ratings on the a320/321 who are gonna jump on this or will any freshly qualified guys get in?

    Hi there,
Like I said, EI will always take a proportion of newly or recently qualified people so get your CV in.Don't waste the opportunity. Also, if they take anyone in from the other local lines, then it leaves gaps in their ranks to be filled so it creates a small but useful movement upwards.
