any tips on selling a car?

I have a car for sale, electrics, leather interior, low mileage, I have advertised it on the well known sites, at a reasonable price, as I do not know about cars I did a check to see what the going rate is and reduced the price accordingly due to odd bits wrong with car, nothing major. I just want to sell the car, but no callers, I wonder is it the fact that I reduced it too much and people think that it is too reasonable so it has to be dodgy, or should I have priced it higher, thus making people think it is a perfect car, given that its 10 years old it will hardly be perfect, at a loss to think why so hard to sell

over estimating your car is the problem most people have, although i presume for what your saying you have not done this, all with the very limited info you've given

If that is indeed that car then the problem is the price imo. €3,500 is very expensive for a 10 year old A3 1.6 litre. Leather seats and low mileage will make it a more attractive buy but will not add any value to the price of the car.

Just to add, I put my car up for sale last Tuesday, it has good spec and is in great condition, I had 2 calls on Thursday and the first person to test drive it, bought it. It was priced at €9250 and I got €9k for it. I've had 2 phone call and 1 text enquiry since then so people are buying out there.

My advice is to drop the price to €2650 and get as close to €2500 as possible.

I sold the exact same car as you without leather seats and mileage was a lot higher (130k) about 6 months ago. I originally had it priced around 3,500 but brought it down to 3,000 and eventually sold it for 2,800. It's probably what it was worth.

Tbh, your car is only up for a few days. I think mine was up for about a month before it sold so give it time. I think it's a fair asking price for the mileage+leather seats as long as there is some room to negotiate. Athough if you are desperate to sell then drop it to under 3k to get people interested.
