Hi, I'm hoping someone here can offer some advice.

I run a company in Ireland with a fairly successful website. Not e-commerce.

Lately we have jumped up the google.com ranking for some of our key products and we're starting to get a lot of International enquiries especially from outside the EU.

The products would be mostly stainless steel medical hardware and we'd be selling one or two per order. Parcels rather than pallets so to say.

Last week we took an order from Quatar which I thought I could just stick in the post more or less. The customer has paid but is now looking for a Cert of Origin and a AWB for customs. After looking a little deeper into exporting from Ireland I now see there is a lot more to it... SAD, AEP, AEO, etc, etc....

    Complete guide from Revenue.ie here[PDF].

Is it really this complicated to sell a small item outside the EU?

    Any advice/pointers greatly appreciated!

    Hello Scotty,

Please see attached a guide that I have developed for members of Boards.ie. It is a little wider in terms of items to consider when exporting (or importing).

Feel free to contact me if you require any clarification or assistance.

Best of luck with your exports.

    Cheers,
    Rudolf289
