Hi, I just got offered a temp job (contract for 6 weeks) with penney's which would end on the 24th of December, so I am just wondering how long I would be have to wait again to receive social welfare payments, after I finish up on the 24th? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure you can just inform the SW, tell them the length of the contract and they will tell you to come back and inform them when it is finished again. I may be wrong. But go to your SWO and talk it over with them. Make sure to state it is ONLY for the 6 weeks though.

    And congrats :):D

Thanks for info :) Been playing on my mind all week whether to go take the job or not with the hassle of waiting to sign on again and the possibility of earning less then what i'd get on the dole.
