    Hi all,

I'm thinking of getting a HD box, rang Sky and they said it would cost €150.

Friends of mine recently moved into a new apartment and got a free sky hd installation.

I was thinking....if I cancelled my sky account and put it in another name (person living with me). When they set up a new account would it be then possible to get a free HD box?

Yes, go for it! (We don't mind sharing the cost of your "free" installation with increased subscription charges.)

Bit harsh! The 2 issues are seperate. Op is entitled to cancel their contract. Housemate is entitled to sign up to sky. What is the problem?

Sky's T&Cs preclude second offers for the same household. So it would be a breach of contract. And any "free" service gets paid for by someone! (Guess who?)

So feel free to condone cheating but don't moan when the subscription goes up (again).
