ye have definitely got my thanks. really don't fancy the thoughts of a super levy bill. glanbia and premier well over.

how come Kerry are so far behind on quota, will they make up much of it in the spring

May pick up a million or so. Cow numbers down after appauling fertility last year. Very few of us around here have as many milking as last year and silage stocks well back. With credit maxed out as well to cater for buying in feed last year, a lot of farmers wont be feeding a lot of ration to push the cows. Not till this years bills paid anyway. But next year, with a fair price and good weather, kerry will go close to filling it. I cant see us paying superlevy again with fellows leaving too and very few new entrants on greenfield sites. Just my analysis of what is going to happen. Prob got it all wrong:o

i dont think there will this season, but all the signs are there for a strong possibility next season. Alot of tb wiping out cows around here , but next season will be hard to predict, all comes down to price and if fellas will drive on the cows

reckon next year will be a good bit closer to the line alright. the following year will be a horror suoerlevy wise.
all the lads gearing up, the bulk of additional replacement hfs will be coming on line there will be a serious flush of milk. as they are reporting at the moment the eu arent going to free up on individual countries quota pre 2015.
if this follows through it will break a lot of lads that put the foot on the gas to soon. reckon you have as much a chance with a magic 8 ball.
    interesting times await

I cant see it whelan1. 10 million gallons is a hell of a lot of liquid to make up by year end. Plus there is storage in the tank for a few days. It wont bother me much till next year thank god:)
