I payed my fine and still got a summons

    okay so i was driving without an accompanied driver and when i didnt bring my licence to the gaurds purely cause i forgot i got a fine...i payed the fine got 2 penalty points and now i have a summons??? can anyone help me with this please cause im really starting to panic!! :eek:

    Contact your local Garda station and ask them.

    Well mate you should have had someone with you when driving, just like you should have paid your fine. You can't expect "mammy" to run around after you all day telling you what you should and shouldn't do. If you think you are responsible enough to drive then take responsibility for your actions!

    Are you sure the fine and penalty are for the same thing? I didn't think driving unaccompanied was a fixed charge offence.

    Looks to me like the fine and points were for failure to produce and the summons for driving unaccompanied.
