hard drive access

    hi.i recently removed the hard drive from a HP8800- 10 yrs old.computer broken big time.i want to transfer data from the hard drive to my laptop-dell inspiron 1501.i was wondering is there cables on the market that could help me,or if anyone has a better idea,thanks.

    The likes of a computer repair shop would do that for you.
    A1 computers did it for me a few years back. (Not cheap)

    Or you could do it yourself. Pick up a transfer kit. There are plenty on the market.

    Please note- I'm unfamiliar with the dell inspiron 1501 so it may not be an IDE to USB you require.

    I am assuming its an IDE drive if its that old, something like

    I got one of these the other day for a job I needed to do - I know it will come in handy in the future also .
