Converted attic radiator not heating.

    Hi all,

Last summer I converted my attic into a bedroom. Got a new rad installed in the room & all. Now the rad seems to be airlocked & when I open the bleed valve nothing comes out. I checked the 2 rad valves were open & a few other things. Now I noticed the tank for the attic is only a slightly bit higher than the rad in question. Could this be my problem, why the rad is airlocked. If so, apart from pressureising the heating system which I dont want to do, do any of you outthere have suggestions.

    Thanks in advance,
    goonup:rolleyes:

yes this is most likely the reason why you're not getting air. is it the bottom of the tank thats only slightly higher or is it the water level in the tank?

    Hi Sparkpea,

Thanks for the reply. The bottom of the tank is only just above the level of the rad & cannot be raised any higher. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this.

    Thanks,
