What bolero for this dress?

I bought this dress a while back, and have got lots of use out of it, but I was wondering what type of bolero or 'cover up' would be best with this dress. If at all possible I'd like to stay away from black as it's not my best colour, but I was wondering what other colours would you recommend? I'm hoping to get something as versatile as possible which would take me from dinner to pub.

Debenhams seem to have quite a lot of 'cover ups' on their website, so was going to take a look in there. Coast have some nice ones, but I can't afford them at the moment. Where else would be good?

I'm hopeless at this kind of thing, so I need/appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks.

I would take a look in pennys or dunnes, Sometimes they have lovely boleros but aren't that warm, almost meshy which on one hand covers you up but lets the dress peep through, but on the other you'll still be a little cold!

I was looking for a little bolero and I found one in pennys a little mesh one for 1.50 and it was a perfect accessory for my debs dress! (See the WDYWT thread at the grown up debs to have a look at it!)

I got another bolero which was covered in sequins from dunnes for like 5e before Christmas last year, sequins always seem to be a hit around Christmas! I've not been in town for shopping in about a week so the next time I'm in I'll have a peep for you!

Thanks a million. I wasn't sure if a 'meshy' bolero would be a little too much for a dinner. I'll take a look in Pennys and Dunnes when I'm up in Dublin next week (hopefully). Would be great if you could let me know if there was anything there. :)

I think it'd be gorgeous with a scarf around your shoulders..obviously not like a neck scarf

I'd been thinking about that too, and have tried it with a few nice scarves I have at home, but it never seems to work out for me or look as good as it does on other people (or maybe I'm just being hyper critical?).

I seen this on Myleene Klass earlier and thought it was lovely. It might be a bit heavyish though.
