Surname Change.

    Long story short, i want to change my surname, question is: Can i change my surname to anything i want? Or surnames that my ancestors had?

    You can change it to anything you want, although there may be some practical limitations, e.g. if you are applying for a passport in the new name, you may need to get a deed poll and have that stamped by the clerk of the high(?) court. Going from "John Smith" to "John Smith-President of Ireland" may raise eyebrows, but "John Murphy" would be perfectly OK.
