Was your casual work cheque meant to arrive today but didn't?

I work part time and because of this receive a fraction of the dole in a cheque sent by post to me usually on a Tuesday apart from weeks starting with a bank holiday Monday as it understandably delays the post.

I got home from work this evening and it wasn't there waiting for me which now has me worries because now I'm concerned that maybe they posted dockets or a form for me to return but I never got them etc.

Were you supposed to receive a cheque today, has it also not arrived? I know the post could just be a day late, but if someone else has the same problem my mind will be at ease. Depending on this money.

We have not had post for over a week, thought it was just me but neighbour said she's been watching out every day 'cos she's waiting for a letter that was due in the past week and there's been no postman. An Post website down.Going to ring local sorting office tomorrow if there's no sign of postie in the morning.Ps we're in North Dublin

I'm in south. When was your cheque/letter due, and is it something that you normally got each week? Thing is we had post at the house, just not my usual cheque. I was scouring my place when I got home to see if I could find some dockets/letter that I maybe forgot to return.

I remember returning the last batch of dockets, but not the date I did so so I can't work out if it was over a month ago, which would mean new dockets are due.

Apart from bank holiday weeks, does it come a day late ever?

    It arrived :)

It's a strange thing when you find yourself actually appreciating that the post is in fact late!
