My mam has a framed picture she is trying to bring home tomorrow from Spain on a Ryanair flight, the only thing is she doesnt know how to get it home? Its long but not wide, but it wont fit in a suitcase its slightly longer than a suitcase, would she be allowed to bring it onto the plane??

Unlikely she'll be allowed bring it on board - they can be very strict on insisting that you can only have 1 bag to carry on board with everything in it. She might get lucky but I doubt it.

    Two options:

    1. Go with a shipping company.

    2. Ditch the suitcase, taking the picture as your checked luggage. If the picture is packet together with a wooden board of the same size to give the whole thing stability and well padded, it should easily survive the travel.

UPS or any other shipping company is the way to go like the last poster said. Or package it up well and check it in. But it will most likely be treated like all other pieces of luggare and may be damaged. UPS would ship it for under €100 I would say, next day delivery etc.

    1. Tell her take off all her clothes.
    2. Get someone to place picture at her back lengthways.
    3. Use lots of sticky to tape around waste area to secure it.
    4. Put on a long dress. Preferably ankle lenght.
5.Walk very straight while boarding plane and stay in toilet cubicle standing for duration of flight.

How did you do with the square peg round hole game as a child? Take it out of the frame and roll it up. Ditch the frame. Bit of a no brainer.
