    Farmhouse 5-3 IVORY
1st game: A. Fleming v Dave Brennan. All that practice is paying off as Dave showed us why he's going in number 1 each week. Playing against a solid player he won the game 2-1 and hit two 140's in a row in the deciding leg. Great stuff Dave! 1-0 Ivory.

2nd game: S. Ryan v Jamie Mason. Jamie took on Dublin team hopeful Shane Ryan. These two beat each other 2-0 away from home last season so Paddy Ellard was playing mind games when he put Jamie's name on the board beside shanes! Jamie played very well but Shane was just too strong for him on the night and won the game 2-0. That put the match at 1-1.

3rd game. G. Murphy v Robert Taylor. Taylor was back up to the Farmhouse for the first time since his summer move to the Ivory, and was there to make sure his ex team mates don't forget him!! The game got off to a scrappy start with the farmhouse player taking the first leg. The second leg was a bit more solid as both players got into the game and were hitting decent scores. Robbie won the leg taking out D10. The third leg was similar to the second and again taylor took out D10 and won the game. 2-1 the Ivory.

4th game: D. Sebastian v Shane Desmond. Shane played his usual good solid game but came up against a new secret weapon and man of the match for the farmhouse. The lad looked like he would be more at home in the Ally Pally than the Farmhouse! Although Shane played a game that would beat most league players, he was completely outclassed by the young Philippiano and lost 2-0. That leveled the match at 2-2.

5th game: J. Parry v Patrick Ellard. Captain Paddy went in next against Jamie Parry. A scrappy first leg in which both players couldn't get started in. Jamie won the leg. Second leg, Paddy got off to a flyer hitting great scores along the way to leaving himself a D19 finish but unfortunately couldn't take it out and Jamie crept in and won the leg. 3-2 to the home side.

6th game: J. McGuinness v Neil McDonald. Neil went in next against Jimmy McGuinness. A very hard game to watch for the Ivory players as Neil failed to get going at all and Jimmy won the first leg with ease. The second leg was much the same as the first with Jimmy hitting good scores and Neil struggling to keep up. A glimmer of hope appeared when Neil hit an 85 followed by a 121 but that was all the threat Neil could offer as Jimmy hit a 120 to leave tops and then won the game 2-0. This guaranteed the home side a point with 2 games to go.

7th game: P. Limm v Brian O'Farrell. Bof the new signing for the Ivory went in next. This was a pressure game for Bof as if he lost, that was game over for the Ivory. This was a scrappy game to start off with and the Farmhouse man took the first leg. Losing the first leg was a good wake up call for Bof and he threw some fine darts to take the second leg and make it 1-1. Third leg was a strange leg as Bof failed to get out of the starting blocks and fell very far behind on the scoreboard. The Farmhouse player was on a double while Bof was still on 200. That looked like game over but Bof kept getting the score down while the Farmhouse player struggled on the double. Bof then crept in and stole the leg and put the match at 4-3.

8th game: G.Healy v John Kohrs. John got the nod off Paddy Ellard to go in and try level the match for the Ivory. He was up against Farmhouse captain, Gary Healy. Both players exchanged good solid scoring before Healy won the first leg. Gary got off to a great start in the second leg hitting 85's & tons and was soon on a finish. Kohrsy needed something special and hit a ton to leave him D5. Healy won the leg with a great display of darts and won the match for his team. 5-3 the final score.

Player of the night in my opinion was Davie Brennan.

Eagles v Farm RedWet wintry night settling in Farm Red travelled to Dun Laoghaire to play the Eagles. After back to back wins they were looking to make it 3 in a row. Eagles in the other hand are a strong team at home over the years, this match could go either way.

    Match 1
    Philly Brenann v Shane Ryan
Opening leg was very tight both players failing to find there range, shane then burst into action with a 140 to set himself a finish which he duely obliged on D10. Second leg was one sided shane opened up with 140 and solid 60's followd, philly failed to hit the target, and it was down to shane again D10 to win the game, away side off to a great start.

    Match 2
    Ray Byrne v Dino Sebastian
This was an exciting tie to say the least, Ray known for his solid scoring against the new recruit from the Philipeans Dino Sebastian. It was a sloppy first leg by both players with Dino sealing the leg with an 83 finish, second leg was something similiar but the away player took control with solid scoring to take the 2nd leg, for a guy who is back from the game after 2 years playing only 5 weeks, he's a great propect.

    Match 3
    Colm Bryne v Dan Boyce
Boycey was out of the blocks very quickly with some high scores 140,137, and 2 solid 60's to put him in control, after 15 darts Dan was on a finish, but D9 was causing him problems, boonie plugged away with some solid scores leaving him with a 3 dart finish, Dan had 18 left, he went 6 D6 to take the leg. 2nd leg was something similar to the first Dan in with some high scores again 140,118 to leave hmself on a finish 20 darts was enough to put the away side 3.0 up

    Match 4
    Gavin Richardson v Gary Healy
Gary burst open with back to back tonnes followed by some nice scoring, after 18 darts he was on a finish and duely obliged 6 darts later on D5. Next leg Gavin opened up with 120, gary responded with 100 of his won, Gavin then fell apart with some low scoring, Gary in the other hand through solid throughout,140 to leave the farm player on 72, it was a bit of mess to finish but D4 was his target to take the away side 1 game from the win.

    Match 5
    Mick Connor v Angus Fleming
Mick always known for his solid scoring against Angus who has been thrown some nice darts at least. Mick took control of the firstleg and finished on D1. 2nd leg was going the home sides way Mick with some nice throws back to back 100's set him up nicely, Mick was crusing then the fightback came, Angus hit 140 to leave himself on 141, Mick leaves himself a finish of D1 again. Angus on 141, T20,T19 and leaves the 3rd on th wire on D12 very unlucky to say the least. Mick takes the leg with first dart at the double
    Match 6
    Gerry Fitz v Jimmy McGuiness
Jimmy the new recruit for the Farm Red looking to seal the win for the away side, Gerry hd no intention of losing, with some nice darts from both players there finishing was less to admire, Jimmy sneaks the first leg. As the same of the second leg Gerry sneaks the 2nd leg to tie the first match of the night on 1.1. Jimmy takes control with some solid 100's, missed doubles was on the night for these two guys and it was the same in leg 3, Jimmy missed doubles to win and gerry sneaks the victory on D8. 4.2 now
    Match 7
    C Moran V Karl Dunne
This was a one sided match in the end, Karl with some nice scoring takes the leg with ease, a fight back from the weirs player in the 2nd leg, but Karl was too strong he seals the win for the away side.

    Match 8
    M Crangle v Gary Murphy
With the game finished, the last match on the night was very scrappy from the start, think both players in there first year in the monday night showed potential but finishing there legs was the problem, Gary new recruit from the Farm red up from the Tuesday League won both legs.

Overall the Farm Red won the match in the first 4 games both captains agreed on the night. 3 in a row for the Farm Red.

    Man of the Match
Dan Boyce - played some great darts, for a chap only out of hospital after getting his appendix out showed his potential is at the highest, just hope he can finish work every monday as he be missed.

    Players to watch
    Daniel Boyce Dino Sebastian -

    Food:

Boycey enjoyed the plate of sandwiches he had but fresh Ham and Cheese or Stuffing went down nice.

Thanks for a good report. Great to see reference to the number of darts thrown in a game when reading these reports as I do not know this league or the players in it. It is hard to gauge the standard of darts when there is no reference to the number of darts used in each leg.
Always like to read all league reports no matter what part of the country they are from.

Very one sided match, Gavin then fell apart

Think brewmaster might be looking at it this way! It comes across as a a bit harsh on the other player and maybe in future reference don't be so critical of an oponent especially one you've played yourself! It comes across as big headedness being honest! Good work though :p

I think its hard when your wriiting about your own game, if it wasnt Gary who wrote the report on his game and it was worded the same i dont think anyone would of said a thing about it.

I'm not talking about what you said, your point may well be a valid one. My problem is the with name calling. You can make your point without resorting to that.

I'm sure Gary didn't mean any disrespect towards the other player, whatever way it came across.

    Carry on.

right i'll clear this up, i did write about garys game yes but i did not word it like that, everyone gets caught up in the game sometimes and i see they way gary was trying to write it as a person looking on, he edited the report and that should be the end of it.

in future i will write up the matches, i will give both sides the respect they deserve as if i was a spectator instead of a player. I will NOT! be writing my own match i will hand that off to someone else so dont get onto me if its one were i played well.

hope this clears everything up and just remember this was the very first one we wrote it's all about trial and error and we want constructive criticism back on them so we can improve them.

hope that all sorted now so we can go on with the reports on the sport that we all play and love

To me DT the report is excellent - all it needs is a few more stats, i read over it again and have to say its very good report of darts. We will always get one person to have a go, this time it was a constructive opionion which is correct, but next time PM me and i wil edit, this forum doesnt need a slating match but i will continue doing reports, I have had loads of feedback about this report and will take it on board. Next week will be an interesting report. This has never been done, So Farm Red v Lough Inn is the next agenda.

Hope to see next week a different over view.

    IVORY V KYNES

    1st Game: D Brennan V A Quinless
A nervous first game of the night from both players with both of them failin to hit high scores. Dave managed to hit a ton on his way to taking out D2. Second leg was fairly similar to the first but it was Quinless who put the pressure on the young Ivorian with a 125 but Brennan held his nerve and took out D16 to put the Home side 1-0 up. Well done to Dave, thats 3 wins on the trot now.

    2nd Game: Brian O'Farrell V K Valentine
Some good scores in a steady game. Bof hit a ton and 81 and some solid 60's as Valentine also hit solid 60's and an 80. It was Bof who took the lead, going all the way to the madhouse and taking it out. Second leg was Valentines turn. Starting off with a 121, he showed he was no push over. He was first to the double but struggled to hit it and Bof tried to make a comeback in the leg but it was too little too late as Valentine took out D12 to level up. 3rd game valentine opened up with a 121 b ut this time Bof kept a level head and hit back with good scores of his own. Valentine was down to the double first, hitting 51 to leave himself 20. But the Boffer came in and stole the leg taking out Tops to make it 2-0 to the Ivory.

    3rd Game: Neil McDonald V E Quinless
McDonald had to prove himself tonight as he had lost in the opening two league fixtures. Quinless needed the win to keep his team in the match. Neil drew first blood by hitting a 120 with his first 3 darts followed by a 140 and some solid 60's. He won the leg, taking out D12. Second leg it was Quinless's turn for the big start, hitting a 140 and stayed infront all the way down to the double. McDonald went in and left himself D12. Quinless missed his double and Neil hit S12, D6 to put the Ivory 3-0 up.

    4th Game: Shane Desmond V D McMahon
Pressure game for both players for different reasons. Shane trying to gaurentee a point for the Dalkey team and McMahon trying to start a come back for Kynes. It was McMahon who took control of this one and won the first leg. Shane wasn't throwing his usual good darts but picked it up in the second leg with 2 60's in a row. But McMahon was showing that he meant business and hit a 125, 78 and 70 to leave 24. Shane hit 40 to leave 40 but McMahon took out D12 and pulled the match back to 3-1.

    5th Game: John Kohrs V G McGrath
Top quality darts from John hitting solid 60's and a 127 to leave D-Top. McGrath hit some decent scores, including an 83. John bust double top twice and nearly threw the leg away before taking it out on the third attempt. Second leg was similar to the first but there was no messing this time as John gaurenteed a point for the Ivory with a 2-0 win. McGrath played some good darts but was just unlucky on the night. 4-1 to the Ivory.

    6th Game: Patrick Ellard V R McCuddon
This was a game that could get the Ivory their first win of the season but the away player was prepared to do anything to win. It was the Ivory player who got off to the better start, hitting some 60+s and an 81. McCruddon kept up the pace though and both players were down to the double together. It was Ellard who held his nerve and took out D5. Second leg was good, both players hitting solid scores and were tied with both needing 60 when the away player decided to stand on the oche with Paddy as he was about to throw and then rolling his darts in his hands. This act of 'gamesmanship' only spurred Ellard on and he hit D8 to win his match 2-0 and put the Ivory over the finish line to record their first win of the season.

    7th Game: Keith Lawlor V M Nolan:
Both players here were making their league debuts for their teams. The pressure was off so both players could relax and show what they could do. Both players hit some good scores and were neck & neck the whole way down to the doubles. It was Nolan who struck first as he took out his double and went 1-0 up. Second leg, both players relaxed into the game a bit more as keith hot scores of 100, 60 and 80. Nolan also hit good scores of 70, 120 and 63. Keith hit 51 to leave tops and young Nolan bust 56. Lawlor kept his nerve and hit tops, 1-1. The deciding leg was all Nolans as he hit two tons and an 80 on his way to winng the leg. Keith put up a brave fight hitting 79 and 76 but the Kynes player won the leg and put the match at 5-2.

    8th Game: Carl Mason V P Whelan
The last game of the night saw Carl Mason take on the Kynes captain. Both players hit excellent scores. Mason hit some 60's, 92, 100 while Whelan hit 70, 121, 140 but the game slowed down when they got to the doubles and with both players needing D2, it was Carl who got it to put himself 1 up. Second leg, both players continued to play good darts with solid scoring and Carl took out an excellent D4 to round off a great night for the Ivory.
    6-2 the final score.

Man of the match: This week it was between McDonald, Kohrs and Ellard for man of the match. McDonald played the better darts but Kohrs's win gaurenteed the draw and Ellards win, won the match for his team. So man of the match this week is Paddy Ellard for keeping his nerve to win the game and also not being put off by his opponents sham acting.

Bray Head Fishermans Club V The Ivory

    Game 1: J. Fagan V Dave Brennan

The first game of the night was a cracking match which saw a maximum. It was the fisherman to go first and he cast off with a 45 followed by a 60 then wreeled in a nice 180! The Ivorian though was not shaken by this and hit some nice scores of his own, inc luding a ton, 85 and some solid 60's. It was Fagan who took the first leg with a 105 to leave 70 then 54 to leave 16 and took out d8 with his 1st dart. A great 19 darter to win the leg. The second leg was a bit scrapier than the first. It was Fagan who got off to the better start, hitting scores of 60, 81, 95, 160 but Davie was holding his own with scores of 85, 80 and some 60's. While Fagan was messing around on the doubles, Brennan snuck in, taking out D20 in 29 darts. The deciding leg it was the home player who won the bull. He started the leg with a solid 60. Young Dave hit a 41 then 81 but Fagan stepped up a gear and hit some goods scores includind 100 and 81 to leave 77. Dave kept pluggin away and hit well timed 105 to leave 140 but it was Fagan who showed a touch of class hitting T19 D10 to win the leg in 23 darts and put the home side 1 nil up.

    Game 2: T. Smith V Robert Taylor

There was no messing from both players in this leg as both players showed exactly what they could do. Taylor got the leg under way and took a good lead hitting an 80 followed by 85 then 77. Smith was 100 behind after 9 darts but a great 140 followed by 59 left him on 90. Taylor hit some good scores and left himself needing 66 but Smith wasn't in the mood for messing and hit T18 D18 to take out the leg in 20 darts. Second leg Smith picked up where he left off and started the leg with a 140, 100, 60, 83. Taylor wasn't put off by his opponents great darts and hit a 99, 93 and 60's. Smith was first down to the doubles but couldn't finish off the leg. Taylor got back into the leg getting down to a two dart finish but Smith took out the leg hitting D4. A solid 26 dart leg. 2-0 to the home side.

    Game 3: C. Murphy V Neil McDonald

A leg the McDonald never settled down in, he failed to produce his best darts and could only manage a few 60's in the leg. Murphy on the other hand was hitting great scores, starting the leg with a 70 followed by another 70 then 60 then a great 140. Murphy was down to a finish first, taking out 54 with 3 darts and 27 darts overall. Second leg, it was McDonald to throw first and looked to have settled down a bit hitting some 60's and a 121. Murphy hit some great scores again this leg including a 76, 70, 100, 96. With Murphy sitting on D20 McDonald had to take out 86. He hit 20 then 16 and missed the bull but left D20. Murphy took out D20 with his first dart and won the leg after 28 darts and put the home side 3-0 up. The Ivory's ship was starting to sink!

    Game 4: M. Cranley V Patrick Ellard

This was a game that if the home side won it would gaurentee a point for the fishermen, but Ellard needed to win to keep his side in the match. A very good leg of darts with both players hitting good scores. Ellard struck first with scores of 60, 99 63 and 49. Cranley took the lead with scores of 100, 66, 40 125 then 100 to leave 70. Ellard hit 60 then 100 to leave 75 while Cranley left himself 40. Ellard had a good look at it took out the 75 with his 3rd dart to finish off an impressive 21 dart leg. Second leg was a bit of a quieter game. Both player started well, Cranley hitting a ton and Ellard hitting 81 but it slowed down a bit until Ellard stepped it up and hit 85,80, 83 to leave 47. Cranley was struggling to hit the big scores and was on a finish of 120. Ellard hit 15 to leave 32 then 14 to leave 18. Cranley left himself on a 2 darter sitting on 90 but ellard hit D9 with his first dart, 25 in total, to make to the match 3-1 to the home side. Was the come back on?

    Game 5: A. Lynch V Shane Desmond

Shane Desmond, a good solid player for the Ivory was taking on Anto Lynch, who, two days before had reached the semi finals of the Dublin Open. The first leg exloded into action with both players hitting good scores. Lynch went first hitting scores of 91,58,100,85,100 to leave 67. Shane held his own hitting scores of 85,95,81 to leave 113. Anto set himself up leaving 16 while Desmond left him self 90. But no messing from Lynch as he took out D16 with his second dart to put himself 1 nil up. A great 23 dart leg. Shane didn't get off to the best start in the second leg, failing to hit big scores. Lynch was in flying form hitting a ton, 60 81,85,91 to leave Tops. Shane then hit a ton of his own to leave a tough finish of 148 but didn't get a shot at it as anto took out D20 with his 1st dart and won the leg with 25 darts. 4-1 to the home side a point gaurenteed.

    Game 6: W. Murphy V Jason Egan

A pressure game here for the Ivory player, with the score at 4-1, only a win would do. It was a tense game with both players failing to hit the high scores and it was neck and neck the whole way down to the doubles. Muprhy hit good scores of 60,85,66,80 and then a 38 to leave 32. Egan matched him hitting 50,62,80,83 and then 59 to leave tops. Murphy bust 32 and Egan had a chance to win the leg but hit 20 to leave 20. Murphy took out D16 with his second dart to put him 1 up. A good 29 dart leg under the pressure of throwing for the win! Second leg it was to home player who went first and sailed away with the leg. Egan sunk in this leg and Murphy hit some good scores of 60,66,100,94,60 to leave 18. Egan hit a ton with his last throw but it was too little too late as Murphy took out D9. A good 28 dart leg and 5-1 to the home side. Thats the match won for the Bray side.

    Game 7: J. Joyce V Brian O'Farrell

The first leg was a close game that could have gone either way. Joyce hit scores including 55,125,55,60 while the Boffer hit 58,55,100,78. With Bof sitting on 71, Jimmy took out 58 with his erd dart and 27 dart over all. Second leg, Brian started off with a 125. The match slowed down completley while both players struggled to hit the big 20's.
Jimmy was left on 100 while Boffer was on 123. Jimmy hit 60 to leave tops and Bof hit 55 to leave 68. It was Jimmy to finish on D2 to win the leg and put his side to 6-1.

    Game 8: P. Tobin V John Kohrs.

Last game of the night saw a good steady game from both players. It was John to go first and threw a few nervy darts. Tobin got off to
the better start stayed infront most of the way down towards the double hitting scores of 68,58. John relaxed and picked it up and hit 85,100 then 42 to leave 73. Tobin hit 40 to leave 112. John took out 73, hitting D4 with his 3rd dart. A solid 30 dart leg in the last match of the night. Second leg, was neck and neck down to the double. Tobin hit great scores of 55,85,140,100. Kohrsy hit scores of 3,100,70. Tobin was first on the double but bust 12 three times and let John back into the game leaving himself D17. Tobin won the leg taking out D6. Deciding leg it was Tobin who won the bull. Both players hit similar scores of 60's 100s etc. It was Tobin on the double first but had double trouble again and bust 18 twice. John got himself onto D4 and took it out. 6-2.

A very good game of darts from the Home side and ive no doubt they will be up there at the end of the season.

great report good to see the number of darts per leg as it is the only way for readers to gauge the standard of darts on the night. Keep it up!!

    Mickey Byrnes V The Ivory

A strange start to the night for the Ivory lads as when they met at the Ivory, it was closed and its one of two bars with a board in Dalkey. The other bar being the Cuala, which was also closed!! So it was off to the Lough Inn for an hours practice before heading to Byrnes.

    Game 1: D. White V D. Brennan

The First game of the night set the tone for the evening. A very close encounter which White went first and got the ball rolling with some good scores including tons. Brennan hit some good scores aswel including a 62, 95 and 92. But White won the leg in 25 darts. Second leg Brennan showed his class by starting the leg with two tons in a row. White struggled with his first 9 darts but then hit 94, 140, 95 to leave 61. Brennan was sitting on 87 and almost took it out, bending the wire of the double 20 to leave himself 20. The leg got a little scrappy on the doubles and White then went in and left himself tops. Young Dave had a good chance to level the game but again he bent the wire and this time left D5. White then had the chance to take the leg but ended up leaving 32. There was no messing the next chance White got and he smashed the D16 with his first dart to round off a 25 dart leg. 1-O to Byrnes.

    Game 2: S. Knight V S. Desmond

The second game of the night saw a real change in fortune for both players. Shane got off to the better start hitting some good scores of 60,140,100,94 then 68 to leave 10 after 24 darts.Ste was a good bit back, sitting on 228 but kept his concentration and kept chipping away. Shane hit 6 to leave 4 and Ste got himself down a bit more to 187. Shane then missed 9 darts at D2 and Knightser got himself down to Tops. It was Shanes last chance to win the leg and ended up leaving the MADHOUSE. Ste snuck in and hit D20 with his 34th dart to the delight of the home supporters. Second leg it was Ste to go first and he took a lot of confidence from winning the first leg by hitting scores of 62,85,100 and another 100 to leave 68. Shane looked a different man than the one that started the match and couldn't find the red bit of the 20 and was on 248 when Ste was on 68. Ste went in and 48, to leave 20.Shane hit his best score of the leg, an 80 to leave 168. Was
Shane about repeat what happened in the first leg and come back and win? The answer is no as Knightser hit D10 with his first dart to win the leg after 19 darts. 2-0 to Byrnes.

    Game 3: D. O'Toole V J. Kohrs

Another game that could have gone either way. The home player went first and hit some scores of 60, 85, a ton and 85 to leave 111 after 18 darts. John was on 74 after 18 darts by hitting scores of 100, 80,100 and a 60. O'Toole hit 23 then 28 to leave 60 and Kohrsy hit 34 (for tops) then 30 to leave 10. The home player went in and hit 38 to leave 22 and the away player hit a single 5 to leave 5. 3 missed darts at d11 gave john the chance to win the first leg but he could only manage to leave d1 and O'Toole went in and hit D11 to end a scrappy leg with 36 darts. Second leg was a better game. Both players wanting to win. John went first, hitting two 60's in his first 12 darts. O'Toole got off to a much better start hitting 85, 66, 85. John then stepped up and threw his best darts (ever) and hit a 180. The score was nearly tied after that but O'Toole hit 3 60's on the trot and left himself tops. John went in and left him self 20 and could only hope for a chance at it but it didn't come as th home player took out Tops with his first dart to take the leg with 22 darts and put his side 3-0 up.

    Game 4: E. O'Connor V R. Taylor

Pressure game here as young Eamon was playing to try gaurentee at least a point for his team and Robbie was trying to start the comeback for the Ivory. Taylor started the leg and was unlucky with his first throw as one of the darts bounced out but he soon made up for it, hitting scores of 60, 140, 95. O'Connor kept the pace hitting some solid 60's and 64. Taylor was on 102 and hit 78 to leave 24. Eamon was now sitting on 160. Taylor missed 6 darts at D12 and this gave O'Connor the chance to get down to 18 but he didn't get a chance at it as Taylor took out D12 to round off a good 29 dart leg. Second leg, O'Connor threw first. This was a nervy game as both players failed to hit high scores but there was some good scores. The home player hit 60,60,60,85. Taylor hit 60,81,60. Taylor was left with 154 while O'Connor had 55 and he hit 15, tops to win the second leg in 29 darts. The deciding leg, Taylor won the bull and threw first. He started off with an 81, followed by 75, then 20 then 96. O'Connor wasn't put off from Taylor's good scoring by hitting some very good scores of his own. 41, 100, 75 then 60 kept the scores very close. Robbie got down to 86 and Eamon was 61 behind on 147. Taylor hit a well timed 52 to leave 32 and Eamon got down to 104. 3 missed darts at double 16 gave Eamon a great chance to set him self up but he could only manage to hit 30 and left 74. single 16 then left Robbie 16 and Eamon set himself up nicely with a 54 to leave 20. It was now or never for Taylor, and he took out the double 8 to put the match at 3-1. A good 29 darter from Robbie there.

    Final result Byrnes 5 - 3 Ivory

Well done to both teams for contesting a closely fought game. I think a draw would have been a fair result here but fair play to Byrnes and Paul O'Carroll for putting his players in in the right order.

Man Of The Match: you decide!!!

    * No report next week as the Ivory have a free week.
