Love that Vic Mackey was the first reply! :D

That's a cracking price.. I paid £42.49 (about €50) for it this time last year... and it hasn't been near that price since!

Buy it, buy it, buy it!

Brilliant price for a brilliant TV series. Finished off perfectly. Very gritty, thoroughly entertaining series.
Bargain price. If I didnt own all the seasons separately, I would have bought this.

As good as this offer is, it's another shocking example of play.com's appalling lack of regard for their Irish customers with their scandalous exchange rate.

It's £29.99 Sterling - at live rate from xe.com that's €34.47.......but of course you can't order in Sterling with an irish address.

Live rates at 2010.11.09 11:01:00 UTC
    29.99 GBP = 34.7847 EUR
    United Kingdom Pounds Euro
    1 GBP = 1.15988 EUR 1 EUR = 0.862161 GBP

It is one of the great tv shows but I would not buy it from those gangsters at play.com

I was cursed with a big sterling voucher from play.com last year. Since I wasn't able to exchange it for a euro voucher (they don't do those), it seemed all was lost, what with their policy of UK currency-UK delivery only. After investigating on boards though, someone recommended using the Belfast postcode on top of my Irish address. No problems so far, and I've had about 25 deliveries to date.

EDIT: That is, everything eventually arrived, but it takes a little bit longer than usual.

There probably wont be a price match from Amazon I think. Probably because it's a deal of the day on play.com. But keep an eye out just in case.

After yesterdays farce of changing the deal of the day halfway through, I'd order this asap if I wanted it.

    Wow.
I did not see that happening! Everyone, buy it now!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,014 ✭✭✭Soarer

I bought it on impulse, even though I've never seen an episode.
Dunno if I'll watch it, so if I decide not to keep it, I'll let it go for what it costs me.
That's obviously collected. If someone needs it posted, I'm gonna have to charge cost.

It's well worth a watch, I'm almost finished S5 and it's been great since S1.

the final episode of season5 is about 20mins shorter than was broadcast on tv.
it's the same on both the region2 season2 dvd set, and the region2 boxset.

unless you either buy the Region1 dvds, or download that episode, there's no way of getting the full episode over here.

don't think any other episodes are editted.

don't know about the order of episodes being switched either...

Still unsure whether to watch it or not though!

Last episode of S5....dude wtf!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

    Two things, STFU ^Kinetic! :pac:

Also, the first episode is brilliant. I found after that that it took another while to really pull me in again but for me the show just got stronger and stronger from about episode 10 of season 1 right through to the final episode. I'd have it in my top 10 must-watch series.

    Mine arrived yesterday morning.

Cardboard sleeves are a little shoddy but can'ty go wrong for the price.

Watched the first episode - finished with a bang. Really enjoyed it.
