Hi Ive just being doing some research on imported food in to Ireland, here are some prices from an exporter in the Netherlands, i find it hard to thing that we pay so much retail, especially when there no vat on food ?
    Carrots 10kg : 2,70
    Scallions x14 : 5,67
    Onions monie gold 20kg 8,43
    Strawberries Sweet Supreme 8x500 25,57
    Leeks 5kg VIDEAU 3,73
    Broccoli in ice 8kg 16,00
    Celery sticks x16 11,37
    Cucumbers sealed x16 8,93

I got these figures from the more pricey exporters, That deliver direct to Dublin when you order at least 2 pallets. i seen the strawberry's selling in my local shop @ 7 euro per 500g pk, should we be supporting Irish food or because of the money problems should we buy form outside Ireland??
