    What is it about fashion in our present day that you JUST DON'T understand? Be it tights under shorts, converse with skirts/dresses, skinny jeans, shirt's as dresses or a comfy/baggy clothes (i.e. too big)

    For me it would have to be animal print clothes, things made from velour and complete tracksuits with strips and things WITH runners just not my style :p

    It's not a clothes thing but at the moment teenagers (boys and girls) with their hair parted so far to the side that they walk around with their head tilted constantly flicking their hair out of their eyes, Zac Efron you have a lot to answer for!

    Shoe boots. They cut inches off the appearance of your legs, I am convinced we will look back at these days and think, what were we thinking?

    Those really cheap plimsoll things which are completely flimsy and useless in any sort of weather, ESPECIALLY in fluorescent colours. Leggings under shorts. Leggings under miniskirts. (I really hate leggings.) Furry yeti boots. I know uggs are divisive as an issue (but they are so unflattering!!!) Exposed zips on the back of tops etc. that ruin otherwise lovely things. Elasticated waistbands. The length of dresses (WHY so short????) And the most irritating trend of all, cannot fathom how this picked up speed - the geek glasses. Seriously. What the hell is that??? Stupid Alexa Chung.

    Ugg boots. I know they're really popular, but I hate them with a passion.

    I wouldn't pick out a particular fashion trend or item as I think if someone likes something then they should go for it.
    I don't understand people following trends just for the sake of it with no thought or real opinion and then judging another person's fashion risks, and calling that fashion.

    But they're sooooo warm! I have my pair of Bearpaws on me right now, toasty warm :)

    The only people who can wear them with any sort of credibility seem to be farmers or fishermen.

    Personally, I hate polonecks / turtlenecks Possibly the most unflattering item of clothing ever, even if they are meant to be warm.

    I wear all of them. Actually what you listed there is pretty much all I wear! :confused:

    There is nothing I "don't get". I mean there is a lot I wouldn't wear myself (namely slutty trampy dresses), but each to their own and all that!

    Yeah I often wear converse/sneakers with skirts, etc. It's the best way to display my rainbow laces, heh heh

    Trackie bottoms with logo's on the backside. ESPECIALLY Juicy ones.:(

    Don't mind the tights under shorts but

    * Diamantés
    * Acid wash/bleach wash anything
    * Crushed velvet...its just wrong
    * Velour tracksuits worn with uggs
    * Velour tracksuits worn with pumps
    * Velour tracksuits full stop
    * The oversized look. Only really works on the very skinny and it means I havent been able to find decent clothes in ages
    * The hipster look in general - old man jumpers, brogues (there are a few nice exceptions), retro brands, denim waistcoats. Bleh
    * The awful going out dresses, biggest criminals being River Island and Lipsy

    i agree with animal prints,never got them
    loved the fluorescent fad!just for pure colour alone but would never wear it!
    the poncho phase was crazy
    i tend to come around to things just as theyre going out of fashion!
    really dont like people wearing things just because theyre in fashion or people who wont wear somethng as its in fashion.if you like it then you should wear what you want

    That happens me a lot too. Or else by the time I have saved enough to go do some shopping, then they are all out of fashion and on the sale racks,
    and the shop is full of a new fashion that will sometimes take me months to take a liking to.:(

    I know its not a fashion thing, but what REALLY gets on my goat, workwear and runners. I can't stand to see this. Nice shift dress and blazer and a pair of Nike's! Grrr.

    But, but, but...Drape,-Maroon-Paisley.jpg
    ...but how can you not love my Smoking Jacket?

    Your Goat? Score! :cool:

    Yet another of my personal hates is the current trened of calling anything more then 5 years old "Vintage".
    For me vintage clothes means pre 1960. After that tailoring was put aside and mass production factory lines took over. Quality, eligance, craftmanship and style lost out.
    Everything after the early 60's is really just 'Old'.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

    I mean velvet like this and as you see in the High Street these days

    http://lookbook.nu/look/1108749-The-Trend-Vintage-Blouses

    It's just an awful material!

    Agree with the vintage trend too. Penneys clothes with the labels cut off

    Thank you! I hate the current trend which means ALL the clothes in the shops at present are oversized and baggy. I cant stand baggy clothes. I suppose i am lucky enough to be a slim size 10 and I like to show off my curves rather than hide them under bagginess. But I dont think the bagginess does anything for curves either as such.

    My sister is a slightly mroe curvy 12 and is obsessed with baggy dresses, which I feel do ntohing for her. What has happened to accentuating the waist? Even with a belt would help.

    I went shopping at the weekend and I actually couldnt buy anything.

    Gone be the nice tailored fitted dresses of by gone fashion.

    *Sigh*
