Passenger in Stolen Car

My friend has recently been told that she will be charged with this. She got into a car that one of her other friends arrived in and did not know it was stolen at the time.As the night went on the driver took chase from the Guards and my friend who was drunk did not know what was happening.Later on she left the car and went home and on her way she was stopped and arrested.

There is no evidence of her being in the car and she was not caught in the car so i'm wondering is there any legal basis on which she can be charged? or will the case be thrown out?

She has completely turned her life around since the incident and is no longer engaged in this sort of behaviour.

Tell your friend to speak to a solicitor.
