Help please, nissan almera gearboxes ?

I've a 1998 Almera S 1.4 petrol 3 door, gearbox packed up and got one in a scrap yard. turned out I got a box that looked the exact same but my drive shafts would not fit as they were 24 spline inner and the box diff is 25 spline. I was told by the breaker the box is out of a 1999 Almera saloon, but I am thinking its out…

I was told by the breaker the box is out of a 1999 Almera saloon, but I am thinking its out of a Jap import, or possiblely a primera or something else, does anybody had any experience with these ? Also if I get the 25 spline shafts from the breaker and they fit as the outer splines look the same, will i have a different ratio gearbox ?
