Call of Duty: Black Ops to be €43.95 in Tesco

Game launches tomorrow.
Just rang up Tesco to find out the price of this game.
The manager said it was €43.95 for both the PS3 and the Xbox360 version.

Seems like the best price for a brick and mortar store. and matches/slightly beats the prices on Amazon even.

Seems like a great price OP. Damn I just pre-paid in Gamestop literally 20 minutes ago (I know I know it serves me right...) and it was 55 euros...they won't take any orders for the hardened edition because they have already pre-sold more stock than they have. The guy in the shop said he would refund me if i could book a copy of the hardened edition anywhere else but I tried xtravision and they were in the same situation. I'd say queue early to anyone not wanting to be disappointed if you've pre-booked! If tesco was 24 hour here in Bray i'd get a refund and get it there but its not worth the petrol/hassle to me to venture elsewhere. Last time I tried to get a midnight release in tesco the staff were clueless.

Anybody know if tesco will be selling the hardened edition, I don't know if its their style to sell special editions of games.

I'm fairly certain it is going on sale at midnight. But the branch I rang doesn't do 24 hour opening so it looks like I'll be getting up early tomorrow!

Not too sure. Tesco don't sell PC games. At least not in my local one. I'd imagine that it could be bought anywhere for €40/€45 in most retailers. Wouldnt bother paying more than that, but that's just me.
Just dont go and buy it on Steam. It's €60. The game uses Steamworks, so it will be added to your Steam games list.

Thats a really good price for anywhere. The cheapest I found it online was asada.co.uk and it was 34.95(€40.50) so I would def buy it in tesco instead of having to wait a week for the sake of 3 euro

Didn't see it, and I doubt they will.
Got mine in Dundrum there. Had €30 worth of vouchers that I was dieing to spend before they went out of date.

Tesco did a similar release for Fable 3 (€35 :eek:) for the day of release only. So it'll probably be the same for COD.

Tesco Drogheda the stand is empty but if you ask at the customer desk they might have a few back there.

The fable 3 price lasted a couple of days at least, I got it the day after it came out for that price

Last night, about 8o'clock there was about 4 of each left in Nutrgove. id imagine they are gone now, unless they restocked since.

Just picked this up, I got the PC version, but the multiplayer is broken right now. I'll just sell this on whenever they fix the PC version.

Tesco in Galway SC had 100+ copies for 360 and PS3 between the main store and the smaller electronics/dvd/game/clothes store.
