i'm tweeting and following like an eejit but nobodys following me:(

how does it work, am i supposed to tell lies about how exciting my life is or something??

Get a decent twitter client like tweetdeck, follow people who you know or who you find intresting, you can split them in to groups on tweedeck and tweet stuff you find intresting or cool or links and stuff.

I'm sure Twitter would work in theory.

But in reality your main page is clogged up with rubbish because people Tweet so much. Do you really want to spend 30 minutes every day scrolling through what people had for lunch, or where they're going for dinner, to find one or two interesting nuggets of information?

There are decent people on there like Graham Linehan who Tweet interesting stuff, but it gets lost in the barrage of 140-character nonsense.

It's good for celebrities who tend to use it to sell stuff, gratify their egos, etc.
