Wonder if anyone had any dealings with them and what are they like. They advertise to be cheap and got a quote for a timing belt change and new water pump on a 06 Saab 9-3 for €360. It seems reasonable enough although while they quote a service from €79, yet they wanted €160 to service my car. Their tyre prices also seem cheaper than normal. Anyone any experience of them?

hiya, I found them really good when i had my car serviced with them, they were pleasant to deal with, talked me through options and didnt push for a sale i.e. the guy reccommended i needed 3 new tyres but he said if i wanted that only one was urgent to be replaced
I will def be going back again
oh and the sevice advertised at 79euro is based on the cheapest option, different makes/models/engine types are different prices with any of those advertised prices- basically the price you were quoted is based on your car, the one advertised isnt!

Well, I don't know about them but I can recommend the 99 euro autoservice across from McDonagh's.

The mechanic there has been nothing but sound to me since I got my car, and when I was helping a friend buy a car he looked at it up on the lift at no cost.

I've only ever made him a minimal amount of money because he charges me so little, so I figure I might as well throw his name around for him so that he gets a square deal.

PS I'm not hot so that's not why I've been getting a good deal :)

They can probably keep it cheap because they're a part of a bigger chain.
"Quick Fit uses its vast multi-branch buying power to get the best prices available, and aims to bring more affordable and safer motoring to Galway,' he says, adding that because it is an independent company, Quick Fit can supply a range of top tyre brands including Michelin, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Dunlop, Continental and Pirelli to its customers.

The company has grown from humble beginnings, with Quick Fit Managing Director Martin Rankin starting off with a small petrol and service station in Blake's Cross, Dublin.

Quick Fit currently operates four other premises in addition to its two Galway branches, in Tullamore, Drogheda, Lusk and Swords.

The company employs eight experienced workers in its Galway centres, and Mr Connell is proud that the company is supporting the local economy.
