    Hello all,

Restoration project on my poor old 1975 CIE Atlantean has been very neglected the last couple of months due to circumstances way beyond my control.

Anyway, trying to get back to it now but a bit worried about keeping the poor thing from falling to pieces. Hoping to get (half) roof sorted in the next couple of months but ideally she should be stored under cover, particularly with winter ahead. Water damage causing me some issues at the moment.

So, on the lookout for indoor storage somewhere in Dublin or its surrounds with easy access and preferably power and water close by. Obviously height is the issue, entrance would need to be more than 14 feet high.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,
    Simon

Best of luck with it,looks like a lot of work ahead. Can you get a roof from a scrapped bus of the same type,or is there any left to cannibalise? I suppose Hammond Lane got most off them.

Thanks Carchaelogist - sadly very few remnants left of the CIE Atlanteans. With hindsight I should have got a whole stack of body spares when there was a stack of them in a scrapyard in Louth years back but what can you do.

Ive got some bits together over the last few years and some very decent people in the preservationist game have been very helpful too. Big flippin job though!

    Cheers,
    Simon

Thanks Manta Mad - hoping to get somewhere a bit closer to Dublin but if I can't then I might well be back to you on that. Have to organise a tow too - not sure she would make it too far under her own power at the moment.

    Cheers,
    Simon
