Another Qantas plane has made an emergency landing after reporting an engine problem shortly after take-off.

Two Qantas planes have been forced to make emergency landings this week

Flight QF6 to Sydney turned back to Singapore after a malfunction with engine one.
The Boeing 747-400, with 431 passengers and crew on board, landed safely at Changi Aiport without incident, a spokeswoman for Qantas said.
"Shortly after take-off the captain experienced an issue with one of its engines," she added.
She was unable to immediately give more details.
On Thursday, another Qantas passenger plane made an emergency landing in Singapore after an engine failed minutes after taking off for Sydney.
Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce said early signs pointed to a "material failure or a design issue" in the Rolls-Royce engines after one exploded just minutes into flight QF32.
The Australian flag carrier immediately grounded its entire fleet of A380 planes after Thursday's incident.
"This is an engine issue and the engines were maintained by Rolls-Royce since being installed on the aircraft," Mr Joyce told reporters in Sydney earlier Friday.
"We believe that this is most likely some kind of material failure or a design issue... We don't believe this is related to maintenance in any way." Some of the passengers on the flight were also on the A380 emergency landing yesterday on the way home.

Now there are some pretty unsettled passengers. Regardless of the blame for these incidents Qantas may have lost a few future passengers....

It seems from todays The AGe newspaper that Joyces statement of grounding for "as long as it takes" may only be 48 hours!
