Reached a plateau

    Hi,

I started gym about 2 years ago. I was 77kg from regular jogging, and am 5'11.

Ive gone to 84kg now but have been at this weight for a year and have not been able to get any heavier.

I do regular barbell squats, chin-ups, dead lifts, etc (gym 3/4 times a week) and try to get protein in my diet as much as possible.

I do sometimes leave long gaps between meals if busy at work though. Also I find I dont have the appetite to eat every three or four hours, or sometimes I know I should eat more but I just dont have to stomach to.

Should you just force yourself to eat, even if not hungry, and is there a plateau you naturally reach with muscle gain at some stage? Is there any logic to eating junk for the sake of bulking up? I've seen advocated, but it doesnt make any sense to me.

Work out how many calories you're currently eating. Add 500.

If this doesn't work, add more. It really should be that simple.
