Parking in NUIG

Can anyone tell me what is the story with parking after 6 in NUIG. I know you can use the Pay and Display spaces for free but these are usually gone by 7 when i start my evening course. Can you park in the other areas i.e student and staff permit areas after 6 without a permit?

I always took the P&D times to be an indicator as to when the clampers clock off. If there are no clampers about, no-ones gonna stop you from parking anywhere.

If your course is at 7pm, id definitely be parking in staff/student spaces.
