How long to clear custom?

Hi all, recently i brought an Apple IPad from a seller in the states and all was well(have tracking number for item) until it reaches Ireland. Checked the tracking and it said it was in Irish Custom.This was on the 31st Oct and there's still no sign of the item.Do anyone here knows how long does it take to clear custom ? I know i may have to pay for taxes and other charges. Also does anyone knows who USPS uses when their posts reaches Ireland? Thanks for advices in advance

USPS packages go via An Post here.

It can take anything from a day to a week for it to clear. They may even contact you about it.

You could contact An Post and ask them.

Yes, the same tracking number applies. If it's still with customs today, then you won't be getting it tomorrow, unless they've released it to An Post by now.
