Wolfenstein Xbox 360 - Game - €1.50 new

Checked Game here in Limerick and they have this going cheap. Should be nationwide as I spotted it on HUKD. Decent reviews.

There's a reason its going cheap.............cause its rubbish.

I bought it cheap (€10 in Harvey Normans) for my PS3 and it was crap.

Better to spend the money on Medal Of Honor (short single player but quite a good game) or wait till Black Ops comes out next week.

You would rather keep a hole 1.50 instead of getting a new game?.. Wow.. 1.50 is literally nothing and I taught the game was alright on ps3.. and also you could probably trade into Gamestop/xtravision for more than 1.50 ..

Dont think saving the €1.50 is goin to make any difference if you're buying Black Ops :P.

Wolfenstein was alright, worth a look at that price most certainly.

That's what I thought! It's only €1.50! It's only the price of a Coke for instance! The guys over on HUKD seemed to think it was a good game and it gets 72 on metacritic and 75 on Gamespot.

Anyone know how much youd get for this if ya traded it in ?
Buy it, then trade it in against black ops with the 25% extra credit they give you in gamestop and even if its only a tenner off, it only cost you 1.50

Played this on the 360 and it is a decent game. So decent in fact that I completed the game because I was hooked.

How does it compare to Return to Castle Wolfenstein (which I was obsessed with for a while)?

More interested in Multiplayer than anything.

It doesn't really compare to RTCW to be honest. It's certainly not the worst game you'll ever play and worth a playthrough but misses the charm and story of RTCW.

It's really no more than an OK game in a very crowded genre, so I wouldn't normally exactly recommend it above many other FPS titles, but at this price, it'd be hard not to. Definitely not a bad game.

Its not the fact that its €1.50 that I'm disputing. Its the fact that you'll waste several hours of your life playing a game that is at best below average. I played RTCW on the PS2 years ago and it was a far superior game to Wolfenstein. Improved graphics does not a great game make :rolleyes:

Some people think any bargain is a bargain whereas I think there's no point wasting money (and more so wasting your life) even if it is only €1.50, on a poor game. Then again, I have to work to earn my money, I don't get it from mammy and daddy

Picked this up yesterday for 99p in the UK. The guy serving me tried everything in his power to not give it to me for this price, even ID'd me and I was clearly older than him.

Took great pleasure in producing my passport and even had the cheek to ask for a bag

You bought the New Medal of Honor didn't you I'd take Wolfenstein over that game any day.

The multiplayer was awful but tbh i thought the single player was quite good,definetly worth the asking price.

Amazingly enough people can make up their own minds on whether they like a game or not. Some love Wolfenstein, others like me think its ok and worth a go and some will inevitably hate it. For €1.50 its a good deal and thanks to the OP for posting it. Your comments dont help anyone.

I haven't played it but i played Singularity which was made by the same people and that game was decent, plus it would probably cost 1.50 to print the book, game and box so its a bargain even if you only got 5 hours out of it! ☺

I paid full price for it when it originally came out and I was definitely happy with the game. I enjoyed it a lot (and I've played a stupid amount of FPS games over the last 20 years or so)

Can you explain this to me? I've no 360 but I got the game as a xmas present for my nephew. Are you saying I can bring it in to Gamestop and get Mafia 2 and Enslaved in exchange for it and a fiver?

Sure, there's a deal in Gamestop that if you trade in a game that has a re-sale value of more than 15 euro you can pick up certain titles for 5 Euro.
I popped into the one in Galway today and saw that Wolf was selling pre-owned for 21 euro so that can be used in the deal.
So you can get either Mafia 2 or Enslaved for 5 euro if you trade in Wolf

hey, i got one in dawson st. yesterday, it's VERY well hidden on the bottom shelf near the very end of the xbox game section (the W section basically, it's not very well marked). There were 2 copies left, i got one so maybe the other one is still there.

also the trade it in and get mafia for a fiver deal in gamestop is excellent, i might well do that! €6.50 for a very new game is a damn good deal

popped in in galway around 7 yesterday, asked the clerk, but they were all sold out
he even heard about it on boards as well

Manager in Ilac Centre store put the game through under a different code at €15.99,jig is up folks. He claimed it is in fact the PC version that is €1.49.

I picked up the last copy they had there, €15.99 sticker but scanned in at €1.49. guy at the till said the trade in value was €2.49 so to bring it back and get an extra euro if i wanted!

I think Grimm got it before they cottoned on. I checked the HUKD thread and they confirmed it was a pricing mistake.

Did as a previous poster suggested and traded it in against Mafia 2 in gamestop. Mafia 2 for €6.50 is probably better than Wolfenstein for €1.50

ha, it didn't have wrapping at all. I gave it to a mate who exchanged for Mafia 2. I bought a copy in dawson st. branch the day earlier and did the same except this one had a €1.49 sticker on it which I made sure was removed before going to gamestop
