Was watching Sky Sports coverage of a game on the weekend, Leicester Gloucester and thoroughly enjoyed it... brilliant image sound and a great atmosphere..
Turned to RTE to look at the Leinster match... **** image, rubbish sound and no atmosphere generated from the TV coverage... turned to the Ospreys game on S4C and it got worse as the minmal crowd were swamped in the stadium and it was awful to watch!

All I can say is thank God for Sky HD and BBC HD for the Autumn Intls... once you have gotten used to it going to ****ty RTE (or any other non HD service)to watch a game is a monumental let down..

I love sport on HD TV.
Its so good I've even gotten into baseball.

Once you get used to it, ordinary resolution reception just looks crap.

If it takes a high definition picture for you to enjoy a game then I think there is a problem.

To be honest I cant tell any major difference between SD and HD.

I think its more down to who is delivering the game as opposed to whether its SD or HD. Sky do a great job at putting all the bells and whistles on their coverage.

There is a marked difference between HD and SD. I don't necessarily have a problem with SD but there most definitely is huge jump in clarity in high definition.

Nope. A game caught my eye (was in Wrigley Field) I stayed watching, enjoyed the game and now regularly watch it.
    No problem. Thats what happens.

I know what you mean, there was a shortage on prawn sandwiches the other day and the match was just unwatchable.

There's a HUGE difference between SD and HD and personally I think HD has made me almost lack interest in SD delivered games... But as soomeone has pointed out Sky do a good job of "flashing" it up..

and here I am thinking its great with a 500Kbs stream

couldnt care less about "HD" as long as I can see the match

At least Setanta don't have the rights any more . There coverage was like watching an old Pathé film at times
