Usually with South Park multi part episodes they rarely top the first part.

But coon 2 was not the strongest opening part (only the clockwork orange bit really had me in stitches)

but mysterion rises was actually a very strong follow on with some good bits.

    and the bit with
cartman playing nice to get on cthulla's good side
    was strangely very creepy.

Some interesting tidbits on the overall south park continuity and a nice appearance by my favourite bit players
    GOTH KIDS!

also good thinking in renaming the title to tie in with the new batman film announcement.

    I was right about Mysterion!
Pretty decent episode, very creepy bits with Cartman and Cthulla. Not much of the I'm sorry vid, which was good.

I thought there was going to be a which one is Clyde follow-up when the 3 unknown heroes were answering to Clyde's mum, but it was Mosquito. I don't think anyone would have cared too much about that one anyway.

Loved Kenny in this episode, especially how they explained his death as his "power". Also just realized that the
song playing when Cartman is riding Ctulhulu is actually !
    from My Neighbor Totoro! Awesome...

Class episode! Loved the 2 parter! The Cartman and Ctulu bit was strange, not really that funny.

Kenny stole the show, brilliant! For some reason I though Kyle was the mosquito but I knew he was Kite Man. I kept getting confused, was class. And then...Timmy!

SP are churning out quality episodes lately, hope they keep it up!

    I want a Mysterion t-shirt!

Thought it was a decent episode overall. Particularly liked the bit where
they mocked LeBron James, that was the whole what should I do bit. Cartman sucking up to Cthulhu was very creepy though ! Kinda reminded me of Hannah Minx on youtube

    butters

Butters vengefully adopted the alter ego of Professor Chaos. Intending to be a supervillain, Professor Chaos wears a green cape, and a helmet and gauntlets constructed out of cardboard and aluminum foil.

It doesn't matter, it's just some miscellaneous kid.

Is there a third part or is it only two episodes?

Thought it was a decent episode. I always thought Mysterion was Clyde but I liked the explanation.

I wasn't crazy about how they handled The Coon though. What made The Coon episode funny was Cartman trying to do the right thing but being such a dick he ended up doing the wrong thing. In this episode he just basically acted like a dick and a villain. I wasn't crazy about the stuff with Cartman at all.

i loved this episode, I thought it was brilliant. Some very funny parts. Cartman scratching Cthullu's belly was just plain weird though.. Loved the press conference with Cthullu scratching his head in the background...

really liked this episode not the funniest ive seen but certainly one of the better plots, glad to find out that
    mysterion is kenny
nice to see him being the main player in the episode ,doesnt happen too often.i could see a mysterion spin off series.

For people wondering, Cartman sitting on Cthulus belly and the musical flying montage are references to the anime My Neighbour Totoro

I thought it was better than the first part. As someone else pointed out is nice to see
    Kenny
take a main role for a change, develops the character a bit after all these years. Does it not cheapen the effect of a certain long running gag though? (Can you cheapen a gag?) Maybe a little in my opinion, but only a small bit. Here's to part 3!

I thought it was a really poor episode. I laughed when Coon attacked the girl at the airport, but that was about it.

Can't believe they're doing a 3rd part, this was a completely unnecessary sequel as it was IMO.

Yeah Sleeping Cthulu was Totoro but I think the flying was more of a homage to Neverending Story http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWnW-OuggoE&feature=related
