    Hi

Is anyone able to point me in the direction of some good information on ford axes, or in general the relationship between water and the ritual deposition of stone objects during the neolithic period?

I have googled a good bit but haven't turned up anything very relevant, what other sources could I use apart from t'internet?

    Thanks

Off the top of my head....

'Irish Prehistory a social persepctive' by Gabriel Cooney & Eoin Grogan discusses deposition during the Neolithic and in particular the depoistion of stone axes.

Lorraine Bourkes 'Crossing the Rubicon' while focused on the Bronze Age and the deposition of metal objects, does have very detailed discussion of deposition in watery places.

    Hope that helps.
