What key would I be in when this is what is in front of me.

    Ab, Bnat, C, Db, Eb, F, G.
It has troubled me all day. Any help would be really really welcome.

It says at the very start in E Flat Major. So, the Bnat and Db are the only 'accidentals'.

I'd need to see it in context, but you're probably in C Minor

the Bnatural is the leading note. remember.....the 7th is sharpened in a minor key. In fact, its the dead giveaway of a minor key.

Db could be a couple of things, but is probably a N6, or flattened major chord built on the second degree.. Neapolitan 6th.

My auld fella concurs, though that said, he was rushing out the door when I asked, and he had to blow off a decade or two of dust from that aspect of his musical knowledge to answer :pac:

My money's on C Phrygian w/ a raised 7th step - like a cross between a C harmonic minor and C Phrygian. As the other poster said, it would depend on what's going on harmonically at and around that point in the score.

My money's on Funky's answer. Of course, seeing the preceding and following bars would make it much clearer.

    It's ambiguous

What's the final chord/note of the tune?
    Any Key changes?
    What's the Tune?
    Who's the composer?
    What's the instrument?
    Is there a melody?
are you talking about 1 bar?
    Which bar?
    Is there harmony underneath?
    Are guitar chords given?
What period is the music from?
Is it just one melody line?
Are you intending to add in backing chords to each note/for some notes/whole extract?
Does it sound major'ish' or minor'ish' to you?

C phrygian with raised seventh hits all the right notes but the context is a bit shkew when you start on a note that's not C

You could look at most music this way tbh, and in my opinion it over complicates it.

I was being a bit picky alright but imo you should approach music that way if you want to analyse it and in my opinion the context simplifies this process. Grand if it was only just a scale of 7 notes in front of the op, so... maybe i'm wrong to assume there was more. Who knows?

Naw there's definitely more, I'd imagine it was a Classical harmony assignment (otherwise, completely wrong forum :P ). Sure as we both said, context is needed.
