i reckon it was the 70's or at latest the early 80's, it had that yellowy look about it that you get in 70's american shows, i.e chips etc.id say it was only about 20 ish minutes long.he was a bit of a hillbilly and it kind of looked like it was mountainy desert he lived in.i must have been the only one paying attention although not closely enough if i cant even remember the name

I must admit I don't really remember the program you're describing but this website might be worth checking out if its really bugging you:

Sounds like Grizzly Adams (mid 70s - mid 80s??), but thats a drama with acting but it did feature a bearded hillbilly who lived in a shack in the Canadian Rockies or Alaska or someplace like that and his friends were some local Indians, the county sheriff, some trappers, a bear and a load of raccoons. I cant remember if he had a pick up truck but there was some dialogue and narration like the Disney wilderness and wild life movies. Catweasel was an English programme by the BBC I think.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

I was thinking of that program for ages myself and couldn't remember the name for the life of me. Thanks Ricky. I remember Zag kept hiding the the film reel because he hated the show so much and Ray used to apologise before showing it.

Anyone got the den listings from circa 1990? I'd love to remember what child me was watching when my father was roaring at me to get out into the fresh air...
