So England and France have joined up,

    Is this:

    A money saving thing

England upset with getting involved with USA and now looking for another friend

A step closer to a European Army

I don't get the whole USA option?!

Time share aircraft carriers, that should be fun :D

What happens when one get's involved in a war that the other disagrees strongly with? Not like that's not happened before.

Soccer fans from the border counties will love this, a concentrated point of dislike.

They allied with USA for the whole middle east mess that's been going on for the last 10 years, it didn't work out as well as they thought, so now taking a lil side step away from USA and their alliance, thus gaining back a little respect and independance of their military deccisions,
some it up, not being USA's lil Biaaaatch.

It all depends how closely they co-operate. All I can see from that article is that they are co-operating on nuclear warhead testing. They will probably link up on things like R&D, procuring new equipment etc like they have in the past with things like the eurofighter. I can't see it affecting each others foreign policy though apart from them possibly working together much closer when there are areas they agree on.

Well, since France was right and USA was wrong about WMDs maybe it's better to go with them from now on.

    hold on now...

the only time in history where france and england joined forces was when there was an agression against germany....

maybe hitler is making a return to power? sure didnt he get in when germany was in a dire recession?

And aren't we in some form doing what Germany says? due to the banks etc.

As against the usual many steps running backwards.

They were also allies during the war against Russia.

Is it because they disagree fundamentally with the nuclear testing options on the table.
