Genuine clothes collection needed

I know a lot of people complain about dodgy clothes collectors who claim to be attached to a charity but I was wondering if anyone knows of any charity/recycling company that offers to collect clothes from your home? I have a huge amount of clothes (about three suitcases full) that I want to give away but don't have a car. Any suggestions appreciated.

Just to reiterate, I don't have a car so cannot transport the clothes myself (and can't afford to get a taxi):)

    Thanks.

    Where are you located?
My sis works in a charity shop and they are always looking for donations but the clothes would have to be in saleable condition. The last lot she got were disgusting and even had used sanitary towels in the bags :(

Thanks for your reply. I'm based in Dublin 1 area. The clothes are in a saleable condition i.e. nothing is damaged and everything is clean. No S.T.s either I'm proud to say;)!

Thanks for the reply, ill give her a ring later to see if she would be able to collect them from you :)

If i cant sort something out you could maybe try jumbletown.ie :)

Sorry for mentioning the st's but some people take the p!ss with their donations. Sad really especially when the volunteers work so hard.

Thanks so much Viv. I wonder if anyone else knows if there is such a service for future reference? Seems a pity that those dodgy collectors might be the only option.

Enable Ireland came round our way recently to do a clothing, book and bric a brac collection, but not sure how often they do it. They have a phone number on their website www.enableireland.ie if you have a good volume of stuff, maybe they could organise a collection for you?
