If it is the current model from 2004 and it is the dipped headlight then it should be a standard H7 type halogen bulb you need. I recommend you replace both front bulbs though as from my experience the other one will fail soon after anyway.

Replacing them is a very easy DIY job. There is a metal bar at the back of the headlight unit that needs to be pulled up and out. You also need to disconnect the block connector cable at the rear of the headlight. Once done you remove the entire headlight unit from the car, bring it indoors and remove the plastic clip at the back so that you can change the bulb. Just make sure to put it down on top of a towel or similar as the front lense scratches very easily.

Just a warning, do not handle the glass part of the bulb itself as static electricity from the human body can fuse the filament of the halogen bulb. Hold it by the metal base at all times.

If you are not confident of doing the above then Halfords will supply and fit the bulbs for a price.

It's the contamination from your skin that can cause the bulb to fail. A fingerprint will create a hot spot on the bulb which weakens the quartz and then pop. Nothing to do with static electricity.

Like bazz says just handle the bulbs by the metal only and never touch the clear part.
