So Halloween is over and now the stress of budgeting for a few presents and ideas for Christmas begins.....well for me....as I want it over and done with!

Just wondering how other boardsies approach their Christmas shopping as I'm thinking of doing most/all of it online this year.

How're you approaching the Chrismas shop this year? 42 votes

Last year I left everything a bit late and had to deal with crowds at shopping centres while I had no idea what to get anyone. This year is gonna be all online I reckon, probably start next week

Bought my first Christmas present last week, want it all done by mid-November. I started playing my MP3 Christmas playlists this morning :)

There is a Christmas forum on boards and it's been active again for a while now :)

EDIT: I voted 'both' on the poll but will very likely do 80-90% of it online, the rest in the shops.

I used to stick on the Christmas cds in work around mid-november just to piss off the customers. Never fails...

I'm doing the majority of it online, but I am going up to Belfast in 2 weeks to snag some cheap things out of shops up there. Electronics and the like probably.

Most everyone I have to get things for this year are pretty easy which is nice.

Probably online for me, I love online shopping.
Might get a few bits in the shops as well though.
I guess I had better start thinking about presents and planning them

See I'm trying to shop online, but it's becoming the same as going out to town. The stress (delivery times/stock). The comparative shopping (prices on other sites). The overall uncertainty (what will I get!? what will I get?!)

Is there any 'tricks' or do you just throw up the hands and click on the first special offer. I mean I've a rough idea what to get people. But it's looking like me buying a roll of wrapping paper and getting rid of a few of my old DVD's again! (Hangs head in shame).

online. Very rarely buy anything in shops anymore unless I need them in a hurry, why bother when I can get 90% of things cheaper online including delivery costs than in rip off Ireland.

never know what to get.... end up doing last minute shopping

kids these days already have everything... might force myself to do it all online before the end of november this year

I find amazon very good for most of what I want. I have everything delivered to family so I don't have to worry about times :D
I don't find any uncertainty

If you have a rough idea play around on sites like amazon or google "buy x online" and see what you find, see how reliable the site looks or is there feedback.
