The Experiment

I thought it was ok, interesting subject based on a real experiment a few decades back. Some gaping holes in the story sort of ruined it for me, though.
One of the prison officers not being able to have a **** so he decides to rape one of the prisoners.................come on.

The volunteers being told explicity and repeatedly before the experiment that any kind of violence would result in it being stopped. I can understand the point of telling the volunteers this to make them think they are constantly watched................but then they allow a row to break out which results in a guy being killed...........and it still carries on.

Brody's hippy character turning all forms of psycho and tough guy............though anybody would after being pissed on
    :pac:

Whittaker was good in it playing a repressed man revelling in his new status of an authority figure but Brody's hippy character irritated me. He had only met a girl a few days before he did the experiment but we're subjected to pointless flashbacks of him and her as if they were a solid couple of many years.

Overall, it was a decent flick with a good concept but it becomes weaker and dafter as the movie goes on.

    Yes.

The Experiment is a 2010 American thriller film directed by Paul Scheuring[2] and starring Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker and Maggie Grace,[3] about an experiment which resembles Philip Zimbardo's Stanford prison experiment in 1971.[4] The film is a remake of the 2001 German film Das Experiment,[5] which was directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel.[6]

Yeah, news to me too. The original was very good.

When will they stop making remakes? It's really starting to piss me off.
