    Im currently building my own website which i hope to launch soon. Ive never been so excited about anything in a long time.
    So does anyone around these parts own there own website?

    Yep, I'm studying web design atm. I know exactly the 'buzz' feeling you're having. Usually that goes within a few days, lol. My advice would be to not get discouraged when things go wrong, because they will. Stay positive.

    Yeah, I have a few, only know basic HTML and small bit of CSS though, so the majority of each site is done using a WYSIWYG program and I use the HTML for the odd bit that won't work for that.

    Are we allowed to post links to all of our sites?

    I run 2 for community projects and 2 for charities, all using a template based free program that comes with the hosting package I use.
    For the vast majority of purposes this is sufficient, but I can muddle my way through basic HTML and can update CSS if needed. There are also Facebook pages to go along with the 2 community sites.

    You wouldn't believe the rigmarole I'm putting up with at the moment.

    Making a website using wordpress and had everything going smoothly last night. Spent about six hours straight sitting at the PC for what would be an extremely basic website, even thought it looked quite nice, then I went and lost everything when I tried to open it up to the world.

    Pain in the balls.


    Seen as this thread is here though, anyone know any good wordpress plugins (not themes) for showing off photo albums? (so i can set one page as a gallery and leave the rest normal)?

    Had a geocities like 8 years ago. You were able to download emulators roms and bots for half-life mods. Ye see, it was the style at the time.

    I have a business site under construction at the moment. Rest assured when it's up I'll be trying to do some sneaky advertising via boards. :p

    Just wondering if you (or anyone else) would have any idea if you can do sub-galleries?

    For example, if i took photos at two boards beers at different dates, one was halloween and one was christmas, can I make a gallery called 'Boards Beers' that will show amongst the other galleries, and then when you click into it, you are presented with 'Halloween' and 'Christmas' galleries?


    I've got single galleries sorted out, but I'm a little stuck here.

    I've tried creating a new album called 'Live event's and put both galleries into it, but they just show up beside each other (rather than inside a gallery). Been trying different layouts but not getting too far. Watched a Youtube tutorial but it didn't cover this.


    Just want the site to be as clean as possible.
