Hi all, I'm looking to get some advice on plumbing in a shower. Heres the thing, iv a Triton t80z that can only be connected into mains. As the bathroom has water pipes that feed the toilet and wash hand basin above where i want to install the shower i was wondering if it was possible to link into these pipes to feed the shower. Its an apartment so anytime you use the cold water a pump starts. I was thinking pressure should not be an issue.Anybody got some advice if this is poss,

    Thanks,

Triton T80'S can only be connected to the mains...

However if this is not an option or is proving un reliable you can use a triton T450i single impeller pump connected to the tank in the attic.

If you connect this to an existing line that feeding something else you risk cavitation or starvation of the pump which will shorten its lifespan.

You also will effect the performance of the shower.

These are the only 2 methods for operating a t80.

ie 1. Direct mains feed. No interuptions.
    2. Direct tank feed via T450i no interuptions.

joey is 100% correct and I'm not disagreeing with him but I have seen it done through a pumped cold water system.

I wouldn't recommend it and its bad practice but if the pressure is there then it should run but would invalidate all your warranty etc.

A b&b I do work in has terrible mains water pressure so they have a 1,000G tank with a pump feeding 14 ensuite shower rooms at 1.5bar pressure and they have electric showers fitted. This system was like this before I came on board to do the maintainence and theres no easy way for me to change the system without a huge outlay and changing all the showers to be pumped electric showers direct from the tank.
