Just wondering did anyone ever have this problem.I had two programs recording last night and the sky box told me I could not watch another channel unless I cancelled a recording.I have had sky +HD for over a year now and never noticed this ,just to be clear I wanted to watch another channel not record. This has happened twice in the last week.Has anyone ever had this problem:confused:

you only have 2 tuners, if you are recording 2 things you can't watch another.

That makes sense! why I have never noticed this until now is strange. As far as I know I still record the same stuff and never noticed this before now ,odd to say the least:confused:

I doesn't look like it.I have the same stuff recording on the kids channels for the past year ,that has never changed and I record stuff every night for myself and the OH and never experienced this problem before until I tried to watch discovery last night and was told to cancel a recording to watch it ,but if you say I only have 2 tuners it would make sense....why I have never noticed this is beyond me? I normally have a pile of stuff recording every day and night!

you can record 2 channels and watch a program that has been recorded.

I have recently installed a Sky+ Box and had the same issue.

Why does the book state that you can record two channels and watch a third one? Is there a way to switch off the Live TV pause on what you just want to watch?

It says that you can watch another recording. Not live tv.

Apparently If the 2 channels you were recording were on the same polarity and in the same high or low band then it might be possible ,but you would have to try it as there is no evidence to back this up

I just had the same problem the other night where i tried to record 1 programme and simply watch another. I've only recently had sky+ HD box installed and find this very frustrating.

When a programme is recording and i try to switch to another channel i get a pop-up warning advising that there is a conflict and asking me to cancel a recording even though only one is actually set to record.

The problem with this now is that i can only record the program i'm watching or else record while i'm not watching anything.

Surely this is not what Sky+ was designed for. It looks from the other posts that this is a recent occurence for a number of people. Any advice?

Make sure input 2 is actually connected, you can physically check the back of the box plus use the services menu and signal test to check aswell. It could be a bad connection at the box or the lnb.I've even heard stories of some lazy installers only running one cable:mad:
