I have CAP 1 exemptions from ICAI but I am wondering should I do the IATI course first or go ahead with ICAI CAP 2 exams?

why would you do IATI? I cant see any reason to, full IATI qualifies for an exemption from 2 cap1 exams, you already have more than that.

Thanks for your reply, just wondering would it be easier to get employment that way? Finding it really hard to gain a contract and I know CAP 2s are extremely difficult?

Have you checked out the institute website?there's a few training contracts advertised. Having cap 1 exemptions would be an advantage. Have you only done your degree recenty?
I can't see how it makes sense to do iati, you'd prob never get beyond 30k and if you do want to do aca are just adding 2 years on.like you're qualified beyond iati already

Ok so it would be a waster of time so? yeah I have been checking, and applying! I graduated last year with a 2.2 degree which is probably going against me. The reason I am having doubts on continuing is that I sat two cap 2's this year and had to repeat, and just waiting for results now, not sure if i passed

It's only one opinion like,I did iati year 1,got distinction and could skip 2nd year to do cap1.doing cap2 now, iati was v basic, you would prob be bored.are you meant to be sitting other cap2s this year?you could maybe try it the modular way of 2 a year like you're saying? You don't have to
    Do them all at once.

yeah i know thanks, im just looking for any advice!! i have been told there is no logic but then i just thought at least i would have some qualification. Yeah, i would be continuing with module 2, and if i had to repeat the other two, i could sit them in june too. so maybe i should just continue and give it another shot

So are you doing the exams outside contract at the mo? Which subjects are you doin? Did u have time off to study? I know it's prob the same thing everyone does, but I'd do questions questions questions.which subjects did u fail?it sounds like you don't have much confidence at the mo,maybe go back to basics if they are letting u down?college stuff etc?

yeah, im a pre-contract student, did audit and tax this year, took the recommended time off work, and will probably have to repeat again. its just disheartening as i did work really hard, and still feel like i wont get a contract soon.
